Can dogs hate one another?

My boyfriends family owns two dogs, Both are female, both are spayed. The first dog is a chow/border collie they adopted a few years ago. she was abused, but always very good with the family. two years later they adopted a wolf/chow from the shelter, and she was just a pup, and the two dogs Bobbie (the border collie mix) & Nana (wolf mix) got along VERY well. When Nana was about one year old, they started to bicker a bit, but nothing serious. The fights became more and more vicious, now to the point where these two dogs can never be in the same room together or given access to one another. even if they see eachother from the windows or smell eachother on the other side of the doors they just go crazy. they're BOTH fine with other dogs. Even my dog who's ALSO a female, they really enjoy playing with her. Is it possible they just hate eachother? Is there anyway to make them get along? we've tried everything. It's a brutal battle anytime they get together. Nana is much faster, stronger, and more ferocious than Bobbie, and if they ever managed to get to one another while no one was home, there is no doubt that Nana could kill Bobbie...
