What's the best i-pod to car stereo connector?

I just bought the Belkin TuneCast Universal for my i-pod mini. My music comes in crackling even though the station I set it at isn't being used.What's the best connector under $50 and where can I buy it? Or am I just not finding the right channel for my current device?
