I have a Haircut issue?

I'm a solid punk rock fan, threw and threw ( pistols, clash, cannibal corpse, FEAR, you name it). But my girlfriend wants me to get a haircut that's considered emo. Admittedly, I think it's a cool haircut, but will I get kicked out of a punk concert, or butchered alive, if I get it cut long, black and straightened?
